Lee is the Managing Director of O'Reilly Wealth Management and grew up in the Keswick area, then graduated from Huddersfield with an honours degree in business law. After graduation he commenced a career in financial services, initially as a tied adviser for an insurance company, he joined O'Reilly Wealth Management in 2000 which became a Partner Practice of St. James's Place Wealth Management in 2014. Lee holds the Diploma in Financial Planning and is working towards Chartered Financial Planner Status.
O’Reilly’s began trading in Cumbria in 1934 initially as a firm of Accountants who later began providing clients with financial advice. In 2008 the Partners of O'Reilly expanded into Leyburn, North Yorkshire, through the acquisition of Yoredale Investment Services. The business now operates from offices in Penrith, Leyburn and Workington.
Lee now divides his time between Cumbria and Yorkshire managing the business and providing advice to existing and new clients.
He is married to Louise and lives near Workington with their spoiled border terrier Max. In his spare time Lee enjoys golf and is the only member of Keswick Golf Club that has filled both roles of Junior Captain and Club Captain.
Steve has been working in the financial services industry for over 19 years, originally born in Lancashire, Steve started a career in financial planning with a major home service company in 1993 where he completed his Financial Planning qualifications. In 1996 he moved to Cumbria having being promoted to assistant branch manager.
In 2006 he joined O’Reilly Wealth Management as Senior Paraplanner for the Financial Services Department. He was appointed financial services team manager in 2008 and is now the Operations Director for O’Reilly Wealth Management.
His duties include ensuring that the team of advisers and administrators are all working together to meet our client’s needs and expectations and although Steve no longer provides advice to clients, he has the knowledge and experience of guiding the team to provide excellent customer service.
Steve is married with three daughters and most of his free time is taken up in his capacity as an unpaid chauffeur! Steve also enjoys his football and motorsports when time permits.
Wendy was born in West Witton, North Yorkshire, where she still resides today. She first started work at Barclays Bank in Hawes and worked in various local branches working up from Cashier to Loan Officer, before moving down to work in London with husband John in 1987 whilst continuing her employment with Barclays. Wendy returned to the Dales when expecting her first child Oliver.
In 1993, two years after her second child Sophie was born, Wendy started working part time for her father who owned an Independent Financial Advisory firm based in Leyburn as a general administrative assistant. Over the next few years Wendy qualified as an Independent Financial Adviser through completing relevant examinations and became a partner with her father until they sold the business to O’Reillys in 2008 where they both continued as Financial Advisers.
Having being based in our Leyburn Practice for over 20 years Wendy provides advice to clients in the Yorkshire Dales where she is well known throughout the community. Wendy holds the Diploma in Financial Planning and is working towards Chartered Financial Planner Status.
Wendy enjoys being outside, walking her three Jack Russells, doing mad walking challenges and generally keeping fit.
Adam was brought up in Appleby where he still lives with his wife and two sons. He graduated with an honours degree from Sheffield in 1994 and then embarked on his career in financial services.
Adam has worked within financial services for over 20 years, he had experience working for life assurance companies and within an accountancy practice before setting up his own financial advice business. Having felt that his clients would benefit from the additional support that he could provide by being part of a larger operation he took up the opportunity to join a local Wealth Management firm before joining our Practice in December 2014.
Adam holds the Diploma in Financial Advice and provides advice to clients on all matters of financial planning, within North Yorkshire and Cumbria. Under-pinned by a high level of specialist expertise and experience, he will find practical solutions and provide advice in an easy to understand manner.
When not working, he spends time with his wife Nicola and two sons Jacob and Luke. He also enjoys golf and has been a member of Appleby Golf Club for over 28 years, has served on the committee and was Captain in 2012.
Mark was born in Brampton, Cumbria but has spent all his life living in Carlisle. He first started work in 1976 at Nat West Bank in Carlisle and spent several years in Banking, latterly working for 8 years with Clydesdale Bank in their business centre in Carlisle as a Financial Adviser.
In total Mark has over 35 years experience in Banking and Financial Advice gaining valuable experience with a number of Financial Services companies.
Mark joined O'Reilly's in June 2013. Based in our Penrith office he provides advice to clients in The Borders and Cumbria. He is fiercely proud of his advisory role as he believes in giving professional and unbiased advice to both his personal and corporate clients. He holds the Diploma in Financial Planning and is working towards Chartered Status.
Mark is also a Major with the Army Reserves and in his spare time he likes to travel around the UK and Europe on his Triumph motorbike, walking in the Lake District and trying to keep fit at the local gym.
Sarah was born in Keighley, Yorkshire but has lived in Carlisle for over 25 years where she lives with her husband. Sarah started work in 1997 at the Royal Bank of Scotland, later moving to the Clydesdale Bank in 2003. Sarah was a Relationship Manager in the Clydesdale Banks Business Centre in Carlisle. In 2009 Sarah became a Financial Planning Manager with AXA Wealth Limited and was based within the Clydesdale Bank branches covering Cumbria and South West Scotland.
Following other qualifications that were required for her role, Sarah achieved the Level 4Diploma Qualification in 2011.
Sarah joined O'Reilly Financial Services in May 2013 and provides professional advice to personal and corporate clients.
In her spare time Sarah enjoys keeping fit and can often be found at her local gym taking a grueling exercise class, out in the country on her bike, or walking her Cocker Spaniel Murphy. Sarah also has a keen interest in various therapies, namely retail therapy!
Richard was born in Dumfries and has lived in South West Scotland for much of his life. He entered the financial services industry in 2004 with a well known insurance company before leaving to embark on new challenges. He returned to financial services in 2008 and gained valuable experience with a small firm in South west Scotland.
He joined our firm in March 2009 as a Paraplanner to Lee Watson. Richard is currently Senior Paraplanner and has the full CII Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning, CII Discretionary Investment Management qualification as well as appropriate mortgage qualifications. He has recently attained Chartered Financial Planner status as a result of his studies through the CII.
Richard is qualified to provide advice direct to customers, however he currently enjoys more than anything else is providing technical support and guidance to all the advisers as and when needed.
Stephen was born in Whitehaven and has lived in Cumbria all his life. He has previously worked in an accounts department in the construction industry before leaving to tackle new challenges in an accountancy practice in 2008.
He joined O’Reilly Chartered Accountants in 2010 to work within the Personal Tax department and was involved in all aspects of personal tax compliance including the completion of Personal Tax Returns.
Stephen joined O’Reilly Financial Services in 2012 as an Administrator before progressing to his current role as a Paraplanner, he is currently studying towards the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. Stephen enjoys assisting the advisers with technical support and guidance whenever they need it.
In his spare time Stephen can be found supporting Carlisle United of which he is a Season Ticket Holder, he is a lifelong fan of Liverpool Football Club and his hobbies include Football, Rugby League and Motorsport.
Gemma was born in Middleham and has lived in the Dales all her life. Gemma started a career in financial services by joining a local financial advisory firm in Richmond as an administrator when she was 18. In 2007 Gemma joined Yoredale Investment Services now O’Reilly Wealth Management in Leyburn and has progressively climbed the career ladder to becoming a paraplanner within the Practice by attaining several financial services qualifications. Gemma provides full time administration and paraplanning support to our team of advisers based in Leyburn and is currently studying towards achieving the CII Certificate in Paraplanning.
Gemma lives with her partner Gary near Bellerby and her two little boys Liam and Zak, she enjoys sunshine holidays, walking her Alsation Boss and spaniel Gyp as well as being a darts fanatic.
Born in Redmire Jane has lived in the Dales all her life and educated in local schools.
Jane joined O’Reilly’s in April 2012 having worked for NFU for over 14 years. Her duties within the team consist of meeting and greeting clients, general administration, organising appointments, portfolio valuations and submitting applications.
Jane is married with two teenage boys and a beloved black Lab Alfie. Lives in Carperby and very involved with the village events. Enjoys jogging, socialising and walking Alfie.
Again born in Redmire and also lived in Dales all her life Sally started working for Yoredale Investment Services now O’Reilly Wealth Management in Leyburn when she was only 16. Having taken some time out to bring up her three children Sally work two days a week supporting the team with general administration duties, portfolio valuations and submitting applications.
Sally is married and lives on a working farm near West Burton. She loves life on the farm, riding her new horse, spending time with the children and walking her little border terrier Ruby.
